Stop Action at the Beach…

One reason I decided to upgrade my camera was to make it easier to take better action pictures of my grandchildren…

 

They tire quickly of posing quietly…

and rightfully so…

so action shots are the way to go…

But every time I try to get my perfect shot…

 

I realize how complicated photography really can be…

Here I had my camera on continuous shooting…

but kept my focus on AF….

too many slightly out of focus photos for my taste…

Hopefully I will have many times to keep practicing…

Horseshoe Crab...

It seems that when I was young I could find horseshoe crab shells easily but now it seems rare to spot one ...this is why I was happy to find this rather large, barnacle encrusted, shell on the beach...

More Windy Beach Weather...

Another trip was made to Galilee...this time with the kids...

...the weather was just as windy as it was the last time I was here...

...but the kids don't seem to notice weather at all...

...the surf was rough...

... the wind was rougher...

...and the clouds were gorgeous.

Clam Cakes and Chowder...

It was a cloudy, chilly, windy, day at Galilee...

...a fishing village..

...with many seafood restaurants...

...you always know the fish is fresh...

...on nice days you can sit outside...

...but today was a day to stay inside...

...with hot soup.
