Thanksgiving...

IMG_0963-1

...Each year, at Thanksgiving, we go around the table  taking  turns stating alphabetically what we are thankful for ...This year I will start with being thankful for Assistance... from farmers and cooks, from family and friends, from health care workers...from all involved with making this meal possible at my sister's home.  After Thanksgiving I hope to return with what we came up with for the rest of the alphabet!

What an interesting idea!
Does this mean you have 26 people for dinner?

Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Excellent idea. I think I will try it tonight at our home dinner. my in-laws would, unfortunately, think it corny. *sigh*

Your photo is beautiful and easily evokes thoughts of gratitude. There will only be two of us but I'm sure we can find plenty of thankfulness. Thanks for this great idea.

what a wonderful tradition...I love it !

we do something similar by writing on a slip of paper what we're thankful for and then reading them out loud around the kitchen table....

and we keep them every year and then laugh and remember, while re-read what we wrote last year and the years before that...good memories :)

A very nice tradition! I'm wondering how far through the alphabet you were able to get? My family would have been clammering to eat :-) Hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving!
