Mr O and I went out for dinner at a wonderful restaurant in the city...there was a special menu of Hanukkah small plates and we enjoyed all we tried..three types of latkes, lox on toasts, brisket, and an aromatic chicken tagine with pickled kumquats (my favorite)....I brought my camera but the few pictures I took of the food are poor...taking pics in a restaurant is challenging with the lighting and feeling self conscious! The two pictures here are taken after the dinner...the first Baptist Church and the big blue termite taken from the car window!

Wow! that second photo is so cool!!
I don't know if you saw my response to your comment on my blog. I had to leave it there, because at home I was not able to comment on your blog. At work I am. This is what it said. (below)
Dear Oliag,
I just went to your blog, and I tried to leave a comment on your most recent post, but it would not let me. It was going to say this:
"i saw Savages and enjoyed it. thanks for the tip on Away From Her. i will have to check it out.
thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. because you did, i was able to discover your blog. i like it very much and i'm very impressed with your photography. i will be adding it to my photo blog list.
it's very interesting to me that this post was on aging. this has been a theme for me as of late, because although i am only 37, i am starting to not feel like my young invincible self anymore. :)
in fact, the post i wrote last night (which i will publish as soon as i am done with this comment) is about aging—it's me writing about inevitable old age.
anyway, i think i will very much enjoy visiting your blog. i look forward to more.
(and, i agree with the comment above—that is a beautiful header photo/banner!)
-Georgia"
Anyway, I would be honored if you added my blog to your blogroll. I am adding yours to mine.
I really enjoy your blog as well. I hope that I will be able to leave comments at some point. I have this problem with certain blogs when I am on-line at home—but then I am able to leave comments on those same blogs if I am on-line at work. I'm not sure why.
Beautiful photos! And I see all kinds of great places to visit per your blog roll. Blogging is so much fun....
Georgia - Thanks for visiting and glad you could post here!
Leslie - blogging is new to me and I've been finding all kinds of new places to visit thru other sites too...Lots of fun!
