Return From Vacation...

I've been home from vacation for a week and I finally feel nearly caught up with unpacking, washing laundry, paying bills, grocery shopping, cleaning the house, and editing pictures...Our Caribbean interlude was very restorative...Four couples chartered a 43 foot catamaran in St Maarten and sailed to St Barts, St Kitts, and Nevis...Every day was sunny and in the 80's...The food was delicious whether we cooked on board or went to a restaurant...The water was warm and clear...We swam every day...What more could I ask for in the middle of winter?

Caribbean water is just a different color and consistency than waters in New England...

Chartered boats seem to have silly names...This was at least better than the name of the last catamaran we chartered...Cat Sass...try saying that over the radio three times...

We sailed under the French flag...

I'm not a sailor but Mr O and my friends are...

I took lots of photographs...

and relaxed...

Oh, it looks like heaven on earth. I'm so glad you were able to get away and relax, my friend. Was it hard to come back?

Well I am in awe. The chances of my taking a vacation like that are close to nil. So that makes yours all the more appealing and astonishing. The photos are just what I need today after a fresh several inches of white. Closing my eyes and feeling the sun.

Welcome back, I missed you.

Oh, my goodness... I feel so CALM just looking at these photos! That last shot is STUNNING... and the blue of the sea, it is special...*swoon*... Being hip-deep in snow here, a Caribbean escape sounds very tempting...LOL! Just so happy you had the chance to go away, experience a beautiful place and wonderful days... Thank you for sharing some of it with us! :o) ((HUGS))

Ahhhh, the glorious sun and not a care in the world! How awesome would it be to have that every day! Were you greatly tempted to just chuck it all and never come back to reality?

How fortunate that you don't know how to operate a sailboat! All the more relaxing for you!

Some gorgeous shots there, my friend, especially the sunset one. So jealous.

XOXO

p.s. very word: pityllud
That means you should take pity on us landlubbers! Ha!

Dear Oliag, please do watch as many TED videos as you can. I have watched maybe 10, and each one is as profound as the others, with a vast breadth of topics. You can't go wrong, and I always come away inspired.
