Flooding…

IMG_1680

Not only were all records of rainfall in RI shattered during the month of March, but my computer decided to breakdown too…

…so as the water rose in the basement and we tried to pump it out as fast as it came in…I could take photos but I couldn’t share them.

We were actually lucky… our furnace worked after the water receded, the road to town was reopened in two days, and we only lost power sporadically.   As for my computer….I finally got it back and I’ve been busy putting all the programs back in…

Oh my! I wondered if you were affected by all the flooding I heard about. It lookes pretty bad! The video was unbelievable. It must have been so frightening. I hope eveeyhting is dried out and that you didn't have too much damage.

I've had the same computer issue happen to me last year and it was so frustrating.

Hope things will all be good from now on!

Gosh that looks pretty fierce, thank goodness you only suffered minor damage.

OMG, floods scare the hell out of me! I'm so glad you were only minimally affected! And I'm really happy that you are back here with us. I missed you terribly!

On a lighter note, I LOVE your new header! How fun!

For some reason I didn't realize you lived in RI. I've wondered what happened to you. Wow, you guys have really been through it! I know you are happy to have things return to normal. I'm glad you're okay.

Well that's just no fun and way too dangerous looking. The video made me shudder to think about that much rain and the damage done by it.

Hope your basement is drying out and that life will once again return to normal for you and all your neighbors.

Take care!

Oh dear! Hope everything is drying out. Your pictures look very much like the time our well line broke. Our cellars are surprisingly similar!

Oh dear - I was concerned when I didn't hear back from you! (I sent you an email when I heard about the flood, it is probably lost in time by now.)
Watching that video, I was getting a little anxious wondering what that car would do next...

What a mess you and your neighbours have been left with.

My goodness...this looks so overwhelming! I'm very sorry to hear what you've been going through but glad that things are now getting (somewhat) back to normal...I've been wondering where you were and glad that you're now back online and connected to the world. We missed you!

What a flood, my friend! I'm so sorry about your basement and your computer, but I'm glad to hear that your furnace still works and your computer is fixed. I can't believe how much water there still is, even up here in Massachusetts. It seems like the 100-year floods are becoming an annual event here in New England, doesn't it.

Hope you are well, my friend! xo
