Ivory…

Maybe it is because the weather has been too nice to sit at the computer, or because I’ve been too busy with family obligations, or because I need the structure of a photography class but I have not been motivated to take many pictures lately….   Then this morning Beth at Be Yourself...Everyone Else is Taken mentioned Creativity Boot Camp and I decided to join in…in hopes of getting back to photographing and posting more.  What attracted me was in part that this course is only two weeks long and free…no pressure…just fun.  The first word prompt is “Ivory” and I don’t think I was very creative with my subject but when I heard the word all I could think of was creamy white Kousa dogwood blossoms…

Beautiful shots! These dogwoods are different than those we have on the west coast...ours have brown tips on the petals.

Stunning shots. I so miss my little dogwood that got some kind of disease a few years back and had to be taken down.

These are different from our dogwood trees and I live in Maryland.

We are blessed because you picked up your camera ...

When your photos loaded on my Google reader yesterday, I groaned, especially at the last image. It is a stunning still life, with all the ivory on ivory, the worn wooden sill, and just an eye of color in the Ball jar.

Well, obviously your little break didn't hurt your skills any! Those are some gorgeous photos, my friend! You covered the subject very well.

I love Kousa dogwoods. We had two giant ones beside our front porch in PA. I can't get mine here to bloom. Perhaps if I actually fertilzed it once in a while....lol

Numbers three and four of your dogwood pictures are perfection. Nothing less.
