The first day of the year here in RI was unusually warm…perfect weather for a walk on the beach. Which is exactly what we did, along with what seemed like the rest of the state’s population…
There is a lot about the exposure of these photos that I am unhappy about…but I’m happy to have started off the year with some of my family and friends at the beach.

I recognize the horseshoe crab you found on the beach, but what is the thing that looks like a necklace or a spine?

i think they are very special - full of love and beauty. but i do that too, criticize what i've done.
i especially love any with the windbreak fencing in them.

I love family walks like this and what a wonderful way to start the year. I can almost smell the ocean...wait, that's the Pacific ocean across the street from me!

WONDERFUL photos! Such a nice way to start the new year, Oliag--family & walking! We took a long walk on New Year's Day too--very refreshing after much holiday festivity and great to start off with some exercise... Now to keep up that exercising... haha! Oh, and take a Hello Kitty bag to the beach next time--I love Kitty too. ;o) Happy Days to you all ((HUGS))
