Just hibernating during this very snowy winter. Another foot of snow last night had Mr O and I getting our aerobic exercise as we shoveled out…Still I can’t help but find it beautiful and it was warm enough to enjoy being outside. Later some ibuprofen and a glass of wine did wonders for sore muscles…

Beautiful images, and what a pretty area you live in ! .....
Love those flowers with the little winter hats of snow. You guys got a lot more than us -- here on the Cape we escaped with a few inches. Lovely images.
Oliag!! just so wonderful, truly wonderful pictures and shhh I don't want to wake you up from your hibernating ;-) ... sending love.
More snow... oh, my... LOL! Looks like here in Norway. ;o) But your photos dazzling, Oliag... winter wonderland dreams here! Be keeping warm, safe and happy! Have a great weekend ((HUGS))
Love that squiggly tree shot!
I just received photos from my Sister-In-Law in Connecticut with very similar images!
nice pictures....
it is beautiful
and it is
soon it will be gone
and we will find spring beautiful
'cause we have happy hearts
beautiful shots but i cannot for the life of me imagine getting out in that and shoveling - you are better woman than me! :)
hope the snow is over soon and spring is here before you know it.
Wow! I simply cannot imagine ever looking out my window and seeing that much snow!
Isn't ibuprofen woman's best friend?
Thanks for thinking about me and my new job. Blog friends are the unexpected icing on the cake of life!
Oh, GEEZ!! Another 12 inches? I knew the east coast was getting hammered, but this puts a personal spin on it. It really is beautiful though.
The picture of the black squiggly branches standing out against the snow? Perfecto! Is that a contorted filbert? I love them. Our neighbor in PA had one in his landscaping and I could never remember the name and always called it a tortured filbert! Haha!
I love the iccle shot! We also have too much snow, and it doesn't look as pretty as it does in RI! I fear more is coming this week...there is no place left to put it!
Ah, yes, and more's on the way! We have no place left to pile all the snow at our house, so the next storm ought to be interesting to try to shovel. Like you, I do love it's beauty, though, and these are some gorgeous pictures! We went for a long hike in the woods today, and I was so warm I took off my gloves and hat. It was fantastic! xo Gigi
OOh, it's so beautiful. I know that's easy for me to say down here with nothing but rain. But still!!
you've just shown all the very best parts of winter!! love these all!
i just realized, i don't have your blog in my blog roll... i will definitely have to remedy that!
i know we were already blog friends before p.w. but i still wanted to send you the note i have been sending to all the p.w. friends i made...
"just wanted to stop and say hello... i'm going through all the profiles of those who commented on my picture winter photos, and looking to see if they have blogs or flickr accounts {and if not, then sending an e-mail}... so that i can A) say thank you for the comments and feedback you gave me, and B) let them know i would love to stay in touch... especially to those who expressed interest in keeping up to date on what is happening with my pregnancy. since i can not remember all who asked, i thought i would just go through each profile and send a message. =)
i'll be updating my blog periodically with baby news... just in case you are interested:

thanks again for all your comments on p.w.! it was an inspiration to meet you and see your work! i hope to see more of it even though the class is over."
i know i'll see you around! yay! off to add you to my roll.
thanks again, gail!
Glorious and beautiful. And we're about to get ours!
Wonderful! I feel sorry for the boat, adore the squiggly branches, and am absolutely transported by the "pine trees heavy with snow" and the icicles. Your winter mind is working beautifully!
Oh my. It's been far too long since I've visited - your snowy photos make me delightfully shivery. I'm one of those transplanted easterners who misses the snow terribly. Just gorgeous!
I am so glad I've come by here...
after shoveling this morning after the plow passed I was feeling a little on the winter can be over side.
But these photos truly show just how spectacular nature really is, how it creates art right before us.
Photo number 2 is killing me. It's just so durn good.
I love snow because it covers so much ugly stuff....but I'm glad we don't have your snow here. We had ours in mid-November and it lasted until mid-January. Beautiful shots!
I think winter "gardens" are just as exquisite as the others year-round. Lovely heart photos. xox Alexandra
