Beach Layers…

Monday and Tuesday were warm and delightful and I managed to go for nice long walks around the pond but on Wednesday I talked myself into taking the dog to the beach for a walk.  Even though I only live about a half hour away from the beach I don’t get there as often as I should, there is always something more pressing it seems and the dog really doesn’t like to ride in the car.  Fortunately on this day I went.   The warmth, the light, the haze, and the full moon all convened to make some magic.  The layers of color enticed me.  I didn’t adjust them at all in the photos…these are SOOC or straight out of the camera.  The light and the colors seemed to change with every step…

Heading back into the sun the colors changed…

…and then the moon rose and changed the layers of color even more.

These are simply stunning images! I love the close up of the stones on the sand, but all of these are so peaceful and lovely.

Gorgeous shots, love the ones of the rocks, not an easy shot, and I'm sure you went home with sand in your hair :-). Now I know where you have been these last couple of days. Enjoy the beautiful weather while you can.

Oh Gail, I sure wish I could have been there with you! The sand, sky, blue waters, time worn rocks ... it's all so serene. Of course the beach is my favorite spot in the world anyway and I love to go in the late day just before the sun sets.

I so love these beach scenes, and that open expanse of ocean. That green wave! Those stones in crystal sand! And the long line of footprints with a figure in the distance is a wonderful shot. They all are, close up or at a distance. The final one, my friend, is a painting! right? Like Sorolla.

Beautiful beach images! My favorite pastime is walking the beach here in Georgia and actually, the Fall is the best time as the crowds are gone and you see everything so much clearer.

Gorgeous SOOC shots! I love them all, but especially those stones and the sea grass. You've inspired me to get to the beach this week! Thanks for stopping by my blog tonight. I know I've been MIA a lot lately. Life has been a rush of work and family, and I don't get my treasured blogging time these days. :(

It's so good to be back here at your beautiful place.
