Maine 3…

Frenchman’s Bay in Hancock, Maine  is much quieter and flatter than Mount Desert Island …Mr O and I went there for a quiet hike through woods and along the shore…and found many textures…

Oh, my, such beauty to be found...I love the peeling bark of the birch tree...and that stubborn clump of grass, or is that sea oats?, poking up from the rocks.

How lovely! You find the most interesting places for hikes. I like the birch bark, too, but my favorite is the spiky one at the end: the plant, the trees, the sailboat mast in the distance all work.

nature's textures, in one magical shot after the other ...the light is so lovely in each photo as well.

Fantastic photos! I also love your new header photo. I love the craggy shoreline of Maine. It looks so cool there -- autumn colors will soon arrive.

Maine rocks, mmmm. I appreciate this beauty, thank you. That warm sagey green in the cool grey rock, with the sound of the sea. It does a soul good.

Love the pics you've shared here. And the Blueberry Cottage Pudding looks awesome. I may just try that soon myself. You have made me yearning for a piece of that.
