Spring is so Fleeting…

The only time of the year my yard looks halfway decent is during spring when the crabapple and cherry and dogwood trees are blooming.  This year our spring has been chilly and the trees and flowers in the yard were late to flower but have lasted a little longer. Still, I have found that the only real way to prolong the life of the blossoms is to preserve them in photos.IMG_8753-1

Oh, I love your flowers!! Especially the violets; I miss violets. And that goldfinch is superb--we saw one a couple of weeks ago at my parents'. It had flown into a window & stunned itself. A few minutes later, it was gone. It had flown onto the dogwood to recover :)

All of these are just absolutely gorgeous, again making me so jealous that you have a garden.

Every photo is beautiful and could be framed. The goldfinch sitting on the crabapple tree with that bright blue sky background could win a prize! I love your little vase full of violets ..so sweet.

I don't know which one to pick as my favorite...they are all so absolutely stunning! I do love that magnolia bloom getting ready to pop open, and that line of bleeding hearts like dainty little ballerinas. But that single branch of crabapple blooms against that grayish background...oh lordy, that just makes my heart squeeze!
