On the Bike Path...

Last weekend my family walked along a local bike path...

...the path makes use of an old unused rail line... You can click here to see a map...

...it was warm and there were many walkers as well as bike riders on the trail...
Along the path is a fun mosaic...

How could I not take pictures of another wonderful use for old dishes?

...the mosaic is only a short part of the walk...

...but I took a lot of pictures there...

...including a self-portrait among the broken dishes...

I fit in well there don't I?

How fun is that! I love it. Kids toys, old dishes, found objects, they make a beautiful picture.

What fun! We used to do a lot of riding along bike paths--none were as beautiful as this. Those mosaics are stunning.

ELK - It was nice to have everyone together...it is harder to do that now...

Char - I would like to try making some mosaics someday too...it does look like it would be a lot of fun...

steviewren - it was pretty funny how much stuff they put on that wall...some of it was beautifully done but I think some of it must have been made by children...

ds - I was thinking I should oil up my bike which hasn't been used in years...the path is pretty flat:)

What a wonderful wall! It must make taking a walk even more fun as I'm sure you see new things in it all the time.

I love walking, and how nice to have a paved, wide trail like that. The mosaic is fascinating, a nice visual along your stroll.
