Under the Rainbow...

The front that brought New England warm summery weather this weekend, also brought a rainbow to the town I was visiting last Thursday...

...In some places rainbows are rather commonplace, but not here and I still get excited when I see one...

...I didn't really notice all the wires at the time...I only noticed the abrupt difference in the sky on each side of the rainbow...

...and then the dazzling sun...

Hi Oliag,

I think a rainbow is always exciting no matter how many I've seen. There is something special about the way that the light plays with the sky...
That house and picket fence looks like a toys from a doll set...
Happy Days

Delwyn - Hi! I think the lighting during the rainstorm made everything look surreal...

willow - We rarely get rainbows here but when we sailed in the Virgin Islands we saw one nearly everyday...and I still got excited each time...

Susan - My sister and I did contemplate chasing down the end of that rainbow:)

Georgia - I don't know why you can't but it's ok if you don't comment...even if I don't comment on your blog I do visit daily and get my inspiration!

elk - Thanks! Moments to cherish...

ds - Thanks for visiting! ..if I could write half as well as you I would have written much more about this day and how that rainbow lifted my spirits:)

Kamana - Had to run right over to your blog and leave a comment...Thanks for visiting!

The weather has been frightening, with storms arriving in an instant it seems. The beauty of nature is amazing, and so is the power. Lightning struck very close to our house - though we still don't know what it hit, if anything.

The white house and picket fence sure look good - especially with that rainbow and dark sky.
