Canadian geese have become quite a nuisance in our area lately but I can remember when they were very unusual to see and people would drive for miles to see a flock that wintered in a reservoir near my home...I have to admire how they adapt and I still think they are beautiful.

Mother's Day Birds...
Last year near Mother's Day I took pictures of baby robins...my header this month is one of those pictures...This year my dog Kaja and I upset another bird family...The entire time I was taking pictures the father goose never stopped honking...the mother seemed rather calm about it all..

i think so too. arent the little goslings adorable?
They are beautiful and so are your pictures of them, Oliag! The one with the male alone is very striking.
so sweet, I love the momma and babies
They are beautiful, but they can be very messy! When there are flocks of them, they leave not-so-pleasant droppings behind. Great pics, as always!
I think they are too. I've got them on my header. And I love yours with the baby birds!
When I first met Don he told me the Canada goose was his favorite animal. I don't think he'd say that now, but we both love to see them fly. We don't love seeing them on our waterfront at the cottage, where the poo is a real nuisance.
There is a family with two little ones on my drive to work, in a wetland area. I love how both parents stay and tend the babies.
The photos are wonderful, Oliag.
I came upon a family of geese the other day. Dad hissed, "I am the Protector" while Mom shepherded the four little ones. Three of them, anyway. The fourth kept getting its tiny wing hung up on reeds. Caught up in the end, however.
They are beautiful, despite the nuisance factor.
Great photos. Thanks.
