It stopped raining long enough to get outside and take a few pictures...

The
crabapple tree is in full blossom...

And the bleeding hearts are too...

There are a few late tulips still unfolding...

And the
hostas are backing it all up...

...This is the only time of year that I think my yard looks really nice.

Wow I'm such a hack photographer . .you've given me something to aim towards! Love that leaf and the black tulip. . .
Hi Oliag
lovely photos you have posted. I particularly like the crab apple blossom.
Happy Days
Crabapple trees and bleeding hearts are two of my favorite spring flowers! Beautiful pictures of both! It's especially fun finding wild bleeding hearts in the woods.
The pinks are rich in your photographs, and the hosta design is just stunning. The second image with the dark contrast is especially wonderful.
I have a potted hosta that comes back every year (besides the ones in the ground) - it always surprises me with its hardiness, in spite of my neglect.
Love your close up views - and the pink is startlingly beautiful. Makes me itch to get outside and see some in real life.
oliag your garden series here is pure bliss...thanks for sharing this beauty
Hi, I just stopped in from Delwin's blog. Where are you located? These pictures are stunning.
Kamana - Thanks! It is hard to take a bad picture of these flowers!
Baino - Thanks for your kind comment!...Talk about being a hack...that is what I consider myself:)
Delwyn - I wish that crabapple tree kept it's blossoms all summer long...
Susan - I agree with that!...I've never seen wild bleeding hearts..it must be wonderful to come upon...
Ruth - I love hostas for the hardiness of them too...I have a brown rather than green thumb so I need the hardiest of plants to survive:)
VioletSky - This time of year my yard seems to be mostly pinks...and I can finally get out...
elk - Love that word - "bliss"...Thank-you...
