A Summer Philosophy…

"I look back upon a day spent in what the world would call idleness, and for which I myself can suggest no more appropriate epithet, but which nevertheless I cannot feel to have been spent amiss. True, it might be a sin and a shame in a world such as ours to spend a lifetime in this manner; but for a few summer weeks it is good to live as if this world were heaven."

-- Nathaniel Hawthorne

I will have to agree with Mr Hawthorne….

Oh your photos! That sun, those clouds, the rays, oh you must have wanted to just watch it forever, but it passes pretty quickly.

That's why we have to just be and watch, and not do all the time. I'm with you 100%, sister.

This sunset rteminds me of the ones we saw on Key West. Love the Hawthorne quote! If only the high humidity would disappear summer would be heaven ;)

Hi Oliag,

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and also for the kind words about my new book Toad Cottages. It was a long, hard labor of love, but in the end worth it to me! Your words remind me of why I did it!

I love your header and I adore your photographs. Let's keep in touch.

All joys to you,
