Get Out of the Car Next Time....

Driving to my cousin's house I passed this wonderful old barn in disrepair...I'm not quite happy with the focus or composition but I was reluctant to get out of the car and I took these pictures in a hurry, worrying about the traffic...

This one is just for fun...

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. it's nice to meet new bloggers.
You're blog is wonderful! I've never seen such a large barn with so many windows -- great shot! My kids had that Fisher Price barn toy too.

I just got a Nikon D60 SLR camera and I have a lot to learn! I've been using a Cannon "Sure Shot" camera until now :-)

Do you live in NY too?

OH! Haha. First, I love love love that barn, just gorgeous. Then when I got to the Fisher Price barn, I jumped right back into my children's childhood. Oh the 'moo' when you open and close the door. I just love looking at that image (is the boy related to you?). Wow.

What a great barn. One could spend a day photographing that one. And then the little barn...cute theme for the post!

Oh what a beautiful barn! I think your shots came out great. I would have been shooting from the car, too. I always worry about getting hit by a car when I stop to take pics in the road...

Love that last shot, too. ;)

Pat - Thanks for visiting! I don't live in NY but my youngest daughter and her husband have lived in Brooklyn for a couple of years and I Love it!...Lucky you with a nice new camera - Have fun!

Ruth - That's my grandson playing with his mother's old toys at my house...his younger sister is still a little afraid of the barn "mooing" so she won't go near it!

Everyone - Thanks for your nice comments - it is great encouragement!

Love the barn. I could see that being turned into a really cool house if it was in better shape. The last shot...I had a fisher price family farm to as a child...talk about bringing back cool memories. :)

That barn is wonderful! Now you know about it it could be an excursion in itself.

Sometimes those shot-in-a-hurry photos turn out much better than you'd expect.

They sure don't build barns like that in Alabama. It's great.

I take lots of photos from the car. I'm almost always too lazy/embarrassed to get out and take pictures if lots of people are around. I need to get over that.

I've taken some surprisingly good shots when I couldn't get out of the car! One was shot while my husband was driving through a closed window and I was amazed.
These are great. And I like the last one, too! I remember playing those little games as a child.
