The Guard Dog…

Why is the best spot to dig a hole and lie down in always have to be in middle of a flower garden?…To discourage her, I put bricks or rocks in her favorite places to dig…until there were just too many rocks…

Ah, but she knows how picturesque she looks among the alchemillis molla, clematis, weathered wood and stone. It must be quite cool as well.

It's a beautifully composed image.

Pretty dog! Your clematis is gorgeous, too!

My main flower bed has a gap three feet wide where the chickens get in there and take their dust baths! Nothing like looking out and seeing the dirt flying into the air!

This made me chuckle. Edward and Apple run outside for very brief moments just now. It's way to hot for them. Apple's favourite place in the summer months is directly atop the air-conditioning vent in dining room. Or the bedroom...she know them all well. Edward just stays under my hair on the cool wooden floor. Summer is not their best season!!

She looks like she has a smile on her face! I'll bet she thinks the rocks are put there for play. :-)

kamana - She should be content...she is very spoiled!

Ruth - Yes, I think she is posing...and it is cool there...but so are many other spots in the yard!

Susan - I think the clematis likes the cool, rainy weather we have had all month...

Pamela - I could use just a little of that heat...My cat knows where all the heat registers are and lies in front of them...

Char - Thanks!

elk - I took this from my upstairs bedroom window...

Pat - If you could enlarge this photo you would see that she is licking her nose...(I don't know what I am doing wrong so that it can't be done)

ds - She should be! We adopted her when she was 7years old...
