Pot Luck Dinner..

In my experience, pot luck dinners are not usually held in such unique and beautiful venues…This dinner, in honor of library volunteers, was held last Friday at a recently built local equestrian center…

…the meal was served in the stables with the horses looking on…

...We got a chance to meet some of the inhabitants…

…and to explore the grounds…

…the locale, the food, and the company were a treat that I’m glad I got a chance to enjoy…

Very beautiful! But are you sure there weren't any unwelcome smells? :)

Did you give any treats to the horses? What a fun idea!

Gorgeous! Did the residents demand handouts?

The most perfect dining room imaginable! I absolutely love a barn full of horses. It reminds me of my riding days as a little girl.

What a beautiful equestrian center! It's nice that you are a library volunteer -- I would love to do something like that as I already sepnd quite a bit of time in my local library.

stevie - It turned out to be lots of fun...the pot-luck dinner included some bottles of wine:)

Char - I didn't even know this was in our neighborhood!

kamana - They were very well behaved too!

Ruth - I thought that might be a problem at first too but the only odors I detected was of fresh hay..and I love that smell...

Susan - I was bit by a horse I was feeding when I was young and have been very careful of where I put my hands since!

ds - Every once and a while a loud whinny would sound out...

Pamela - I've never been a rider but if I lived next to this place I would have loved it as a child!

Pat - Mr O is the President of the board of directors of our town library...and my daughter is a librarian at another library...I merely just love them..

This is really beautiful. I would have been so busted, sneaking food to the horses. Cuties.
